Elite Screens' Aeon CineGrey 3D AT is a fixed frame ambient and ceiling light rejecting (ALR/CLR) projection screen that is perforated to permit acoustic transparency for use with in-wall speakers.

The thin frame design maximizes the viewing area into a smaller footprint which is more appealing in appearance and in accommodating room decor. The CineGrey 3D AT is ISF Certified for accurate color reproduction, contrast and dynamic range to create a bright, crisp, and clear image.

Not for Small to medium rooms

Build quality is very good and for not for smaller to medium rooms. My media room length is 13 ft. There are perforated holes on the screen and you notice them while watching the movie, especially when the background is white in the movie. Had to switch it to white woven surface screen and this problem went away.This is good concept if your viewing distance is around 15ft or more, but dint workout for me and had to return it. Couple of my friends got perforated grey screens ,but their media room lengths are 25ft and they dint have this problem. You have to walk up close to the screen to notice the holes in their media room

Not for up close viewing

Let me start off giving you my set up:Media Room- 11W x 17D x 8HSeating positions: 2 Rows (9’6” and 15’)Projector: LG HU810PBDO NOT purchase this screen is you want to sit up close. Sharpness of the screen is great at > 16’. Any closer you will be able to see perforations. Especially during bright scenes. It unwatchable at my first row as the picture looks pixelated due to the perforations. Additionally, the gain on the screen causes the pictures to be grey. Great for bright rooms, not so great for dark rooms. I have to increase the iris or set my projector on standard color on my projector to prevent pictures from looking too dark. Not something I was expecting.During installation, I noticed I had the version 1. Which means the plastic grommets are what the projector comes with. It’s an ok assembly. I noticed during my last few grommets, when attaching the screen to the frame, the material stretches. Which is a cause for concern.Frame is sturdy and the connections for the frames are solid. I would’ve preferred the tension bar system of the version 2.In summary:DO NOT get us sitting closer than 16’. Great sharpness and picture above 16’. Colors not as bright in cinema mode unless in a dark room. Even then, it’s only ok. Good in standard mode (will need to calibrate). Grey screen color doesn’t help.

Screen looks great and allows for nice speaker placement

Purchased the screen because of where I would need to place the speakers in the wall. Installation turned out great and makes for good family movie nights.
