[Elite Screens] Aeon CineGrey 3D | ALR/CLR EDGE FREE Fixed Frame Projection Screen 158" in 16:9 Format

I was really hoping this screen lived up to the "ALR" hype. Im just not sure the screen is reflecting Ambient light. In addition, I thought getting the CineGrey screen would make the picture punchier. Unfortunately, I am not impressed by the image quality when viewed with just the slight bit of ambient light in the room/basement.For $600+ I was expecting the "WOW" factor!I paired this screen up with the Optoma CinemaX P2 so there is no lack of 4k resolution or quality. Yes, I adjusted all my settings to get the most contrast from my projector.So, is the White screen a better choice? Ad if so, whats the big deal with CineGrey?...thumbs down. Interested to hear from Elite screens since I invested $8k into my theater system which includes this screen.

The cinegrey material really brings out the colours and colour depth. Super impressed. Bit of a pita to assemble but if you have patience and a partner to help it all comes together and looks great. Using this with a 4K Benq HT3550 and am happy with the set up.

Update 2: I installed the new material and there are no visible artifacts and my screen looks great. Thank you to Elite Screens customer support who listened to my issues and provided me with a replacement materialUPDATE : I contacted elite Screens and they were very courteous and agreed to send me a replacement material. I will update once I have received and installed the materialI ordered this screen back in November 2018 after doing a bit of research. My basement was being constructed so I held off on assembling it. Putting it together was not difficult with 2 people. I noticed right away that the screen has vertical marks over it all across the screen about 5 -7 inches apart. This made my viewing experience very difficult especially during bright scenes. I emailed Elite Screens only to be given a disclaimer by a rep emailed back to me about this product:" For all our ALR Screen Materials, it is normal for there to be vertical lines due to how this surface has to be manufactured"....They attached a product disclaimer but it only mentions a stain that is imprinted into the material, not vertical lines throughout the screen.If i had known this I would not have purchased this screen. It has been a very distracting experience for me and my family. For the price I paid for the screen I am very disappointed.

I brought the wrong type of screen for my Xiaomi Ultra Short-throw projector. I wasn't happy after learning this when I set it up. I will need a special ALR screen for ultra short throw to get the best quality picture. I'm going to it exchange for a white matte screen until I buy that special screen.

Worth every dollar. Colors pop blacks are blacker. It does take some time to put together though.

The screen is awesome. Great contrast and brightness. If your screen has a whitewash hazy picture, try this one. I highly recommend the led lights too...it really makes for an impressive display...even when the tv is not on.

I paired this screen with Epson 5050UBe and the result is just wow. It delivers sharp contrast and due to the gain of 1.2 you can still get ample brightness even when on economy lamp mode. Installation took 4 hours. But it is what it is.

Took two of us about 30 mins to put this together. I went out and pick up a set of long pick and wow did they come in handled for this job. Using the long pick on the springs really made job much easier. Overall, great looking screen. I was able to add my led strips around it and it came out nice.

I am setting up my media room and selected this 120 inch screen. I’m not a zealot but this screen looks great in my house I will say. Quite well designed with frame and feel like a one quite solid. It’s heavy and I had a handy guy help me out on the installation.

Great quality screen. It looks like a big TV and the quality of its image is amazing. I’m using it with Epson 5040UB. The installation isn’t so easy tho, and I got several injuries in my hands because of its frame sharp edges. Don’t forget to wear goggles when you install the screen because you can lose your eyes either by the springs or the pulling tool.

My first day viewing. And i'm loving this screen so much. It does wonders for daytime movie watching. I don't have to wait for total darkness anymore. The blacks are dark and the colors are vivid. Little reflection on my white ceiling and white walls. Huge upgrade over my Matte white screen!!!

The screen while not simple to assemble was not particularly difficult either. About an hour of work start to finish and she was hanging on the wall. I have this paired with a Sony VPL40hw 40es and I can say that the results are very impressive. Went with the 120 inch and for under 3k I have a huge screen. The screen looks great even with significant ambient light, I decided against the velvet boarder and it's quite the show stopper with the boarderless look. Although it did require some tinkering to get the project lined up right without the forgiveness of a black boarder. Attached are couple of pics. I would definitely recommend it from my experiences so far.

The screen is well build and fairly easy to install. You will need two people and plenty of space.The picture is great however the screen is not light proof. I have a window behind my screen and in the daytime I could see light through the screen. I had a black diamond screen prior to this that costs 3 times as much. I only switched because my old one was 235:1 and I wanted 16:9. Honestly I other than this screen is not 100% light proof I cant really tell the difference. It is great and I would highly recommend this screen to anyone looking for a good quality screen at a good price.

paired with proper projector, fe 9700ub, the screen will provide you with phenomenal black levels, crisp highlights, color pop, overal picture uniformity than say bedsheet or, God forbid, painted wall. I did all of it, trust me.Even with projector rated 1600 lumen output with 2000hr old lamp and engaged ECO lamp mode this screen just rocks. I cant believe how black in 2.4:1 mode black bars are!Having said that I must notice that light rejection feature is not working for me, at least when ceiling light are on I see glowing reflections on the screen. This is not bother me coz I watch movies in complete darkness anyway.Also you will need a second person to mount 150/135 and maybe 120 sizes on the wall. Of course you can try yourself if you aint afraid to collapse the frame and tear down the screen material.Thank you.
