I was cautious to buy this given some of the 1-stars mentioning failing parts. However, I took a chance and bought it, with an extended warranty.I absolutely hate looking at televisions, especially when they are off. Reminds me of that black obelisk in the movie 2001, imposing and annoying. Sold the TV and bought a small projector I could hide away. I’d rather look at my books. This brings me to the fact my walls are less than perfect for a projector. Bumpy and off white and marks. I decided on buying a screen. Thought about a pulldown, but they could be a pain to mount, and kinda ugly to look at. Decided on a “pull up” version, and this measured out right to the location I wanted it, and was the perfect height. And as you can see by the photo it is very stealth when not in use. Screen pulls up and down easily with a comfy handle, rests at the top with a stop. Mounted a soundbar right on the wall behind it, feels like a movie theatre setup.I may go further and find some small decorative furniture piece to place in front of it to make it even more invisible. But for now I just love how I’ve “killed my TV” but still have the option to watch a movie once in a while or even zone out on YouTube or other streaming sites if the urge hits me. Beautiful picture, no wrinkles I can find, and it sets up and ticks away in seconds. Very happy.
We bought two of these for a conference of 400 people in a large hotel ballroom 700 miles away. They were going to be transported, along with lots of additional AV equipment, supplies, etc. in a small U-Haul.The pix I've uploaded are from my initial test at our local church to make sure the projectors and screens would be sufficient for our needs. The pix aren't ideal, but in-person they showed what I needed to know:Are they large enough to sit at the far end of an 85x60-ft ballroom and be readable by the congregation? YES!Is text clear and readable in typical hotel lighting? YES! (We did dim the lights a little during the worship portion, but the room was still well lit). Are they easy to set up and breakdown? YES! (We're an all-volunteer army, so we needed it to be easy for anyone available to get the screens up and down).Because of the size of the screens, these are very long in their cases (I did manage to slide them into my 2012 Prius - windshield to windshield - to get them from my home (where they were delivered) to our local church facility. But a two-person team would probably be best in getting the folded screens into your venue. It's doable with one (I did it locally); but to prevent lots of knee banging and possible whacking of inanimate objects, I'd recommend two.Overall, between the price, the ease of setup, the clarity of the screen material and the ease of storage, I give these screens a definite thumbs-up.
Use this with my Xgimi Mogo, and it is great. The screen is portable, easy to set up, and can stand straight on itself well. The material is very smooth and the screen is tretched out very nicely when pulled up. It also helps deflecting other lights, so it makes the image appear tremendously brighter than just a white wall.Shout out to the excellent customer service of Elite Screens. I broke one of the screws attaching the base and the legs by accident while I was still in the 1 year warranty period. Sent them a claim with images and got a reponse promptly. A replacement was sent to me in less than a week.
80” elite screen, pull up. Works great behind couch in my mini man cave. Using LG cinematic projector. Great combo
Product is just as described/pictured. Easy, manageable weight for one person carry and set-up. Love that there is no extra components to setting up the screen just zip, clip, swivel feet and pull up to the desired height! I really thought for the size, clarity and features of the screen, it was a very inexpensive product.
Return policy seems OK but being able to hook something up that is broken and two large to fit in the car will cause problems.Return department was fantastic
We ve bought this product because we wanted an high quality screen without installation or hard work.when the screen is stowed away, it is very discreet and protected. It folds and unfolds easily. The mechanism looks well constructed.
I’m loving this product. Great for apartment living.
Picture quality is smooth and bright. I can watch in eco mode and this screen still shows brightness well enough, saves me from bulb usuage therefore replacements and less electricity usuage, the wall just didnt have the same effect after 600hrs of use in eco mode. The pull outs and push downs of the screens mechanics feel sturdy. When i push down to store away i had to push down the middle ontop of the handle making sure the handle was down pointing away from the white screen then it went down with ease. At the bottom end of closing the screen unit opposite side of logo it just wouldnt go down all the way so i did what the manual said to do just lift the side that wont fully close about to chest level and wiggle it just a little bit and it will fall into place so you can close. So with that being said the portability is 100 % awsome for this kind of device plus free carry bag too. With a 3 year warranty i feel confident that my money went into a good value. No more wall bumps popping up on bright scenes. :)
I was motivated to write this review to receive the additional 1 year warranty from Elite Screens. I am writing a very positive review but that has nothing to do with the warranty stuff. This is my second Elite Screen ezCinema screen. The first is the first model and the 10' diagonal which I also use frequently for our mobile AV business. This screen is definitely a notch smaller than the 10' screen but still large enough for a corporate meeting of up to about 150 people in my opinion. The pic above is it set up against a chalkboard (black) background. Elite Screens fixed every complaint I had about the first screen: no carrying case, one 'foot' placed in the middle of the screen's length versus two 'feet' spread out equally (wobble), two handles spread out versus one in the middle and the (a little clunky) mechanism to raise it out of the metal housing. I don't see anything negative about this screen and we think it is very professional, bright, easy to transport and us and set up takes 30 seconds max. FYI - the projector in the pic is the Epson Powerlite 2250u.
This is a great product, I use it during trial presentations. It's light, sturdy and a quality product. I would recommend it. In addition their customer service is very responsive and knowledgeable about their products.
This arrived in great condition and was easy to work with. We mounted this screen to our wall as a fixed screen. We used 2x6 perimeter that was painted black and the screen looks great. I highly recommend this product.
Diy 130” 16:9 for ust
I love this screen. I also bought a cheap and sturdy backdrop background and some metal clamps, so now have a foldable screen that I can use anywhere indoors. The quality of this screen is very good and movies do look better than on my white wall. I'm attaching some pictures of the screen fully extended, its "only" 125 inches because the sides are folded so I could hold the screen in place with the metal clamps. I'm very happy with my purchases.
I was scared it would have creases because of some reviews, and it did come out of the packaging that way. But once I stretched it out on the frame I made, it was flawless. It does look gray, but I thought it might be a little darker; either way, it's amazing. Movie nights are insane.
