[Elite Screens] ezCinema | Manual Pull Up Floor Matte White Projector Screen, 120/135/150" in 16:9 Format

Great product concept; however, actually design needs to be more durable. I researched for about two months before making the purchase. I wish the product could be better. But I can not in good conscience recommend this product at 135 screen size. Perhaps any size under 100 will be stable and functional.1. When you pull the product out of the casing the 135 screen is entirely too flimsy. My suggestion is that they need two polls for screens over 100 .2. The product came in the mail damage and broke.

I bought this Screen (150'') last week and I am still in process of testing it. So this is only first observation review and will update the complete review once I am satisfied with the product.First impression, the quality of the product is not up to the mark.(I bought it for $475). When I opened the box, the side caps which cover the stand/box are already opened. I was able to fix them because the screws to fit were inside the box. But those caps are made of plastic and when you tighten the screws, it keeps rolling. Once I fixed the screen, those caps were coming of again and again.Next there are 2 supporting poles/stands on the back and they go into fitting bases of the original box of the screen. The hooks and the height adjustment parts are again made of plastic. Also the stands are not stable and don't stand still. The Base/box has couple additional stands(as shown in the original product pic at the bottom) which help to stabilize the whole setup but not the poles.Pulling up the screen is easy(For 150'' you need 2 people). Here is the biggest challenge. The screen can rise up to a height of 10+ feet. But the challenge is how you can reach up to 10+ feet and hook the screen to the poles. I think this is a big flaw in constructing this screen. They should provide some mechanism to bring the screen up to that height. You may need couple of chairs/stands/stairs to reach up to that height. In case if you reach, the supporting poles/stands to which you need to hook the screen as so delicate and they keep moving. There are 3 adjustment you can select to hook the screen. These options depend on how the overall screen balances. I had to select back most position as the screen was falling forward.Make sure to check the screen once it is hooked, my screen almost fell forward once I hooked it. The screen is very sensitive.Once it is hooked, the screen looks amazing. I watched couples of movies and it really awesome.Rolling down is also smooth and 2 persons holding it should maintain the height. If not the screen doesn't roll. You can always roll with hand though. Once the box is closed, it is good and doesn't take lot of space.I live in an apartment and the screen does satisfy the requirement of not digging holes to the wall...etc. But it should be most sturdy all together.I got the screen with 5'' of black mark on the left bottom corner(White viewing screen). I am still thinking whether to return it or not. This screen might be perfect for sizes up to 120''. Bigger than that have challenges. Also using of plastic on the box edge supporters is not good.

The different with this unit is that because the whole item is the screen, it should be used specifically for indoors. It wobbles whenever a light breeze pass. But it is a very good product.

This screen was okay considering it's portable however, DO NOT BUY THIS IF you won't take this with you to places; It's just not worth it. I ended up returning because for half the price you're going to get a 150 inch pull down screen. ProsEasy to setup and take down.Very stable.Bottom screen pull-up.ConsLatches will not close or stay closed on the screen, which limits storage options.Can be hard for one person to maneuver around tight places.I bought this screen to do presentations with a projector that projects at a 3:4 aspect ratio. When it arrived, I took it out of its packaging and saw that the screen came with a carry case that had a strap on it as well. The carry case is pretty easy to take off and put on the screen and it protects the screen well.I then immediately set up the screen to see how it worked and everything went fine. It's very easy and intuitive to use. There are two legs on the bottom of the screen that swing out to keep the screen stable when it is raised.When I finished testing out the screen and was ready to put it away, one of the latches on the screen case didn't work. About a month later, both fail to work, rendering the handle on the hard case useless.I recently had to take the screen to an office that had very tight hallways and multiple flights of stairs. I had no problem carrying the screen, but I was worried I would hit something because of the size of the screen and the rigidity of the case. For most people, it may take two to carry the screen around.Overall, I am glad I got this type of screen and not one that uses a tripod.

This screen assembles easily, functions well, and comes with a great case that slings over your shoulder. This make carring an 84" screen a lot simpler especially when attempting to get into doorways or when in a crowded area. It is a bit on the heavy side.

I really like this product. Its easy to use and to set up. I am the only one who handles it. I use it once a week to show powerpoint presentation. My issue came this week when while I was doing a presentation, I saw the white peel away from the black bottom. The black bottom is glued to the white screen and it just started to come open, I was sad and now I want to exchange it. Again, I love the screen, but not with this issue.

After battling with a 120-inch tripod screen, my family decided to give this EZ Cinema screen a try. Let's just say the tripod battles are over! We do plan to move things around our family room in the future, so we definitely wanted a portable-style screen in the first place.We simply can't say enough about this item - the screen set-up time is right around 30 seconds flat. Seriously. The black "bottom" is made of very sturdy aluminum-type material, and we simply leave the "bar" sitting on the floor at all times. The two little "feet" swing out for more support, four suitcase-style snaps are opened, two support bars are easily inserted into the back base area, and you pull the screen up. That's all there is to it! Now we have awesome 150-inch images in our family room with ultimate ease.Though made by the same company, we think this 150-inch screen has a better image than the tripod one did. HD is amazing, but even SD images or DVDs from our projector are breathtaking. Couple that with the ultra-easy set-up (and take-down), and we're happy campers! Bravo, Elite Screens!P.S. Just keep in mind the measurements for this item - it's a LOOOOOOONG piece of equipment! We actually brought it in through a family room window, as it was far too long for swinging around doorways and such in our house.

I purchased the 150" manual pull-up version of the Elite ezCinema screen. I have a makeshift home theater set up in a large multi-purpose room, so being able to retract the screen was an important feature. I'm really happy with the size and image quality of the screen but had a headache when it came to getting one to my house that wasn't damaged in transit.The first screen I ordered didn't make it to my house at all. I received a notice it had been damaged in transit so it was returned to Elite Screens. Once the refund was issued I ordered a replacement screen and arranged to have the box carried into the house (the box is really long, heavy and awkward). The screen sat at a local delivery subcontractor for almost a week before my delivery date but that wasn't a problem. The problem was after I met the two delivery people and signed the paperwork. Once I started to open the box I noticed brown paper had been used to cover up a BIG puncture in the side. After opening the box it turned out the dent in the box extended all the way into the metal casing around the screen and into the screen material itself. Amazon arranged to pick up and replace that unit and were totally great through this. Re-packaging the screen in its original box took quite some time, though.The third time was charm: I finally got an intact screen with no visible damage, even though one end of the box was almost completely torn open in transit (!!!). Long story short, it's apparently difficult to get strangely shaped packages shipped across the country without some sort of mishap. Be sure to inspect what you get delivered carefully. I'll also add that despite having a case with handles the 150" size is far from portable - You'll want to have two-people handy for moving the box and initial setup.

Screen looks great

Screen is great and delivered quickly as promised. Looks great and is pretty easy to set up. Case a little flimsy, but workable.

Really like the size. Images are clear. It is a little difficult to attach the screen to the supports but it does work we.

I purchased this screen for a large family room and we all LOVE it! Our projector needs to be at the far end of the room to throw an image large enough to use the whole screen.Even at that distance, the HD image is truly amazing. We no longer have any desire to visit movie theaters because this feels so much like the theater without all the strangers talking and chewing during the movie :)The screen is so large, it requires 2 support poles to hold it up. My only struggle here is that it can take 2 people to lift it up evenly and hook it onto the support poles.It is possible to do with 1 person if you start the poles low and adjust each one up slightly, then go to the other and bring it up to the same height, repeating the back-and-forth process until you reach the desired height. A single scissor lift in the center may have been nice, but would probably not have held the screen so smooth once deployed so this is by no means a deal breaker.Pros:HugeHigh QualityNeatly tucks away in aluminum carrying caseCons:Somewhat difficult to deploy with just 1 person.Highly recommended if you have a large enough room!

got the screen delivered yesterday and used it for our elementary schools graduation ceremony, and it worked out wonderful. I bought other elite screens before in the past, but this one we needed something asap for our school. The 120" size was hugh and perfect size for our cafeteria, which we use to host our graduation ceremony.Screen was a great price for the good quality, but the main thing was we thought we would not get the screen on time. But recieved it one day early then expected. Tks again for a great product!!! definitely a customer for life.Liz

We purchased this screen in December 2010. We have used it a number of times - all indoors. The screen itself has some of the grey dots on the white section as you see mentioned in other posts. But they really do not affect the viewing of movies. My kids loved this screen. We hosted many movie nights and played video games on this large screen. But here we are 2 1/2 years after purchase and the screen fell apart! There was no warning or indication of any issues. We had the screen up/open when we heard a tearing sound and the adhesive that attaches the white screen to the black material on the retractable roller comes apart and the whole thing falls apart. We tried to stop the process to save the screen, but no luck! The roller unwound and there is no way to reattach the white screen without wrinkles to the black piece or to fix the roller tension. I emailed the company and was very nicely told, the screen cannot be repaired, but they offered to sell me another one... REALLY??? I still have my grandfather's small projector screen from 40 years ago and it works great. But to have this product break 6 months after the warranty runs out is a sign of a bad product! We are very disappointed! There are plenty of competitors out there who sell their product for cheaper... And now I'm searching through their offerings to see if I can find a replacement!

This thing is simply amazing. While gigantic, you'll be surprised how easy it is to roll up it is into it's container and hide away as needed.

the other reviewers were right this is heavy so I just leave it on the floor in front of the tv great quality and size (120 inch screen ) It takes up about half the width of the room, had to move speakers to both sides of the screen...But other than that....GREAT PURCHASE THANKS!!!
