Description

The Starling Tab-Tension 2 CineGrey 5D Series is an electric motorized retractable projector screen that uses an Ambient Light Rejecting material. The retractable feature provides flexibility to mounting the screen without dedicating its designated location to exclusively one purpose. The ambient light rejecting material is formulated to sustain excellent color reproduction and contrast for enhanced picture quality in environments with little control over room lighting.

easy to install and when I had a question about ...

It's quiet, easy to install and when I had a question about adjusting the height the manufacturer was available to answer my question by phone. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone.

Very good screen.

This review is for Elite Starling2 16:9 120 inch diagonal screen, white color finish. The screen material is very good, came with excellent packaging.Amazon delivered few days earlier than the original promised date which is good. White color blends with my interiors, good I didn't select black color. Setting up and installing it flush-mount to the ceiling was a big challenge due to its weight. The user manual mentioned it can also be installed to the dry-wall ceiling but this didn't work due to its enormous weight. So I had to first install a 2X6 wooden frame to the ceiling on to the ceiling studs and then install the screen to the wooden-frame. I used a white duct-tape to cover the wooden frame which gave an excellent finish better than painting it. I had to make several visits to HomeDepot. I wish this screen had sliding brackets like in Saker series which could be installed directly to the ceiling studs making the install/mount much easier.It's been around a month since I purchased this screen. The screen so far has been nice and of good quality. The tubular motor is very fast compared to synchronous motor. It comes with both RF and IR remotes which look much nice/modern compared to the remotes offered with other Elite screen models including Saker series. The extra 14 inches screen drop was useful to me to bring the screen view to eye level. The black bar at the bottom of the screen completely covered/hidden when retracted.I could setup/adjust the drop height to stop exactly above my center channel speaker. I also setup the 5-12V trigger to my Panasonic projector so that the screen drops down automatically when I switch ON the projector and retracts back when the projector is switched OFF.Given that this is fiber-glass backed, I expected this to be fully flat but there are some waves in the middle of the screen which are visible during wide panning. Overall I'm satisfied with the product and recommend it.

Very satisfied

Finally set up this behemoth 135" screen a year after purchasing and I love it. It's pretty quiet but the sound is still noticeable. The screen drops pretty quick but still takes time.. however the quality is great and the screen is dead flat. No ripples. 5 star!
